On Friday December 6, a special holiday edition of First Friday ArtWalk kicks off at 4 pm with downtown shops decked for the season, local artists, and live music followed by our award- winning Lighted Boat Parade, an annual tradition featuring brightly lit skiffs, sailboats and pontoon boats circling the harbor to the sound of carols.
Particpate in SantaCon on December 7 from 1 pm - 5 pm - Roam the streets in your favorite red suit and matching hat. Don your Santa outfits (or Mrs. Claus, reindeer, elf outfits) and gather as a group in Downtown Elizabeth City (or anywhere across the City where Santas want to gather). Do a little Bar Ho-Ho-Hopping and a little retail S-Ho-Ho-Hopping or just hang out working on your Naughty & Nice Lists. On December 7, from 9 am - 5 pm visit the Blue Ruby at Grice-Fearing House for all your holiday shopping at their Christmas Craft Market and Bake Sale - perfect, unique gifts and festive treats! and finish your day off at our Annual Christmas Parade which begins at 5:30 pm. This years theme is "A Harbor Hometown Holiday"!
Love Christmas lights? Don't miss the Dances Bay Christmas Light Show which runs from 5 pm through 10 pm nightly through January 1 weather permitting. Bring your family and friends to experience the magic and joy of this spectacular holiday tradition!
The weather outside may be frightful, but the Library is delightful! Visit the Pasquotank County Library during the hot cocoa season for some warm and cozy indoor activities. While you are here, add pieces to our hot cocoa themed community jigsaw puzzle or grab a hot cocoa recipe to make at home. Kids can make or take home a hot cocoa themed craft kit and get some delicious hot cocoa topping ideas. As always, library staff will be on hand to help everyone find their next cozy read! No marshmallows needed.
