This beautiful park for outdoor recreation provides two boat ramps, picnic tables, park benches, a pavilion, a boardwalk and a pier along the Pasquotank River. It is the site of our annual Fourth of July festivities! Providing a beautiful view of the Pasquotank River, this park is extensively used many months of the year. Ample parking for cars and cars with boat trailers is available.
Boaters: Elizabeth City offers free 48-hour docking here at Waterfront Park (bulkhead) and at Mariners' Wharf Park (14 slips).
Waterfront Park Pavilion: “The Dome” at Waterfront Park is one of Elizabeth City’s historical waterfront landmarks. Now the Waterfront Pavilion, it was built as a memorial to the old Albemarle Hospital and College of the Albemarle. The dome roof is part of the old Albemarle Hospital and College of the Albemarle entrance that was saved from demolition. Through individual, family and business contributions, funds were raised to renovate and construct the Pavilion. The Pavilion is perfect for a small outdoor wedding.
