BREAKFAST

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day; kick off your morning with a hometown breakfast to keep you fueled for exploring the town. Open seven days a week, everyone in your group will find something appetizing at long-time local favorite Colonial Café. For a quick bite to eat and friendly service, Homestyle Bakery & Cafe is sure to satisfy with their breakfast burritos and mouthwatering biscuits. Not hungry yet? You can’t go wrong with a pick-me-up iced coffee, latte or even a refreshing smoothie from one of our amazing coffee shops, Muddy Waters Coffeehouse and The Kraken Coffeehouse.

 

LUNCH

After a long morning of exploring the shops and taking in the sights you’re sure to have worked up an appetite. For burritos, nachos, quesadillas and more Big Boss serves up mouthwatering (and huge!) Mexican fare made from scratch. If you’re not downtown and still craving flavors from South of the Border, 3 Amigos is a tasty locals’ favorite. Sometimes all you want is a good sandwich; The Sandwich Market has a cozy atmosphere and specializes in premium sandwiches with family-friendly prices. For lunch with a view and close proximity to downtown shopping, you can’t go wrong with Cypress Creek Grill’s locally-sourced options of salad, pasta, seafood, chicken and more!

 

DINNER

Whether you’re out with the whole family or on date night, Elizabeth City has several delectable options. The Mills Downtown Bistro specializes in flatbreads and tapas with a roaring 20s vibe and cozy atmosphere. Montero’s Restaurant has been serving amazing food with customer service to match since 2005 and even offers a plant-based menu. Paradiso Roma Ristorante is a must-try with a beautiful waterfront patio and mouthwatering morsels including pasta, steak and seafood. For Caribbean flare, give Island Breeze Grill located within walking distance of the beautiful waterfront on the edge of downtown. Sushi lovers rejoice! Toyama Japanese Restaurant’s sushi, sashimi, seaweed salad and more are even better with their prime downtown location. Just down the street in Pailin’s Alley is Hoppin’ Johnz New South Cuisine with fantastic food and atmosphere too; if you ask a local, they’ll tell you to make sure to try the shrimp and grits!

 

DRINKS

Wrap up your dining excursion through Elizabeth City with a nightcap!
