Built in 1856, The Richardson Pool Glover House is within walking distance to all that downtown Elizabeth City has to offer, from restaurants and shops, to the local museum and beautiful harbor views.  As Elizabeth City's largest antebellum home, the house’s immense southern charm is not the only significant piece to the house as it has played a large role in local town history and North Carolina history as a site for a Civil War hospital and for the Underground Railroad. It also has been home to the town mayor and the local doctor who discovered the portrait of Theodosia Burr (Aaron Burr's daughter who went missing in a shipwreck).

Part of the Church Street Residential Historic District, the house has a full porch with outdoor seating for rocking or al fresco dining. Guests can enjoy our parlor with our provided books and games to make the most out of your stay.  All of our rooms are large in size with queen to king sized beds and private attached bathrooms.  All rooms have full access to our complementary coffee and tea.

Upon request, Pack n Play and rollaway beds are available for additional guests.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are currently not Handicap accessible.
