Virtual History for Lunch: Go Now To Shiloh

Wednesday, March 17, 2021
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Join the Museum of the Albemarle for a Zoom History for Lunch, "Go Now to Shiloh: Have We Found the House of God?" Enjoy a lecture from the comfort of your home on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 12 p.m.

Dr. Scott Stripling of The Bible Seminary in Katy (Houston), Texas, Director of Excavations for the Associates for Biblical Research at Khirbet el-Maqatir and Shiloh, Israel, will discuss how Shiloh in Israel is the location where the Israelites first set up the tabernacle for worshiping God. The tabernacle was a large tent. The question that historians have is "Is there a place at the site that would accommodate the structure and all the associated activities related to a robust worship and sacrificial system?" The presentation will review the highlights of three seasons of archaeological excavations at ancient Shiloh in Israel.

You must register in advance for this webinar at the link here.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
