Arts of the Albemarle is thrilled to host Kids Splash and the Kate Dean Color Run on Saturday, September 30th, on Main Street in Elizabeth City!

Help us kick off Splash Week with a short color run downtown (be prepared to get a little messy) and then get creative at Kids Splash, where we'll have FREE art activities for the whole family! Artists Anna Podris and Keith Norval will also be present to facilitate a community mural project, which will be hung in the Pasquotank County Library in the Fall of 2023.

It is $20 per child to participate in the run. The money raised will be added to the Kate Dean Endowment Fund for K-12 visual arts programming.

8 AM - Runner registration
8:30 AM - Run begins
9-11 AM - Get creative at Kids Splash

 

About the Kate Dean Endowment:

The AOA Kate Dean Endowment Fund was created in loving memory of Kate Dean. The purpose of the Fund will be to support Children’s Visual Arts.

This Fall, AOA is launching The School of the Arts which will include educational classes in the Visual Arts for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Endowment Funds will be used to purchase art supplies and provide tuition assistance for students in need. Other uses of the Kate Dean Endowment Fund may include children’s art events, activities, and community projects in the years to come.
