Join the Museum of the Albemarle for a History for Lunch, "Accepting Inevitability: The Desegregation of Schools in Pasquotank County, 1954-1969." Enjoy a lecture from the comfort of your home or in-person at the museum on July 7, 2021 at 12 p.m.
Dr. Glenn Bowman of Elizabeth City State University will discuss some of the major challenges that faced North Carolina and, in particular, Pasquotank County during the desegregation of public schools. his timeline of events starts with the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka Supreme Court decision and ends with the opening of Northeastern High School.
The Museum will offer the History for Lunch in-person and through Zoom:
